Not sure what's the best newsgroup for this topic so here goes ...
I'm thinking about replacing my ViewSonic P815 monitor from CRT to LCD.
I'm always on the computer (working) so I need a nice setup.
So far, I've found good reviews on the following LCD monitors ...

Video card has approximately SXGA resolution. Display can be CRT or
LCD.
Is this hardware available? Any links or references are welcome.

I have a nVidia graphic card. But it seems that my PC is not using it
instead Windows might be using default settings. I have 2 questions.
1.) How can I check confirm if my PC is using the graphic card.
2.) If it is not, then, what can I do in order to make sure that is is

I have a 24" LCD, Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP.
I have a child in the family that got mad and poured about half a
gallon of water on top of it.
