Bang for Buck on an upgrade from 7600 to 9800 gt30 Dec 2008 20:16 GMT8
Hope this is a good place to post
Have said 7600....wondering if upgrade to 9800 gt (what is the
difference between the gt, gtx, gtx+) would be worth the $109 sale
price now.
Digital Vibrance30 Dec 2008 13:30 GMT2
Anyone seen the situation in Nvidia 184 driver Nvidea control panel 2.2.300
where when either brightness or contrast slider is being adjusted,  the
digital vibrance slider moves?.  This is happening to me all the time and
typically leaves the DV setting at 100%.   Is this a bug?

Is my EVGA GeForce 7950 GT KO video card broken?29 Dec 2008 04:26 GMT8
I was using old Norton Ghost 2003 DOS to make backups and then my video
screen goes corrupted and I get video signal loss. I was able to
reproduce this easily with three attempts so far. It seems to vary on
how long it takes to reproduce (5 to 20 minutes).
No primary monitor28 Dec 2008 02:28 GMT1
I have a HDTV and a 19" LCD monitor plugged into my 3G XP machine.
Right now I have tried disabling the HDTV settings.  The curious thing
is that when I identify the monitor it comes up 2.
I have other problems, but I think this may be the start to the fix.
Montor Rotation27 Dec 2008 18:34 GMT4
I have a NVIDIA GeForce 6200 TurboCache card in one of my computers.
It has the capability of rotating the image on the screen. I am going
to build another system to put in my shop with the monitor inverted.
Do all NVIDIA cards have screen rotation as an option? If not what do
Why does Call of Duty 4 have a limited color range ?23 Dec 2008 22:54 GMT3
Some time ago I did some video/graphics analysis of Call of Duty 4.
I noticed how Call of Duty 4 only uses 232 reds, 232 greens and 232 blue's.
Why does it not use the full range ? 0 to 255 ?
I can think of a number of reasons:
8800GT and 184 driver - default question23 Dec 2008 11:39 GMT2
For my 8800GT and Nvidia 184 driver what are the default slider positions
for brightness and contrast?   Is it 50% or 100% or some other setting?
I'm curious as to why there is no "reset" button to return all to the
default.
Noisy nVidia car...23 Dec 2008 11:07 GMT16
What do you do when nVidia becomes irritatingly noisy?
Is it possible to replace the wee fan which is  buzzing?
Probelms with SLI and DirectX18 Dec 2008 00:26 GMT1
I am having problems getting any directX game to start with SLI enabled.
I do have two Nvidia 8800 GTX SLI boards on Windows XP SP3. When I disable
SLI everything works fine (of course without SLI), when SLI is enabled
dxdiag and every DirectX game claims that directX is not ...
Nvidia control panel: Installed games not showing16 Dec 2008 21:26 GMT2
I've been doing some reading about this and it seems fairly common but no
common fixes beyond guesswork. I have several games installed and only one of
them shows in the Nivida control panel, under Program Settings. The game in
question is STALKER - Clear Sky. I also have Far Cry 2, ...
