| Best nVidia card for value and performance? | 29 Feb 2008 16:46 GMT | 5 |
I know that it's a subjective question, but I'd like to hear from others here about what they would recommend for the best nVidia card value out there right now (a solid mid range card at a good price with good performance).

| Getting Rid of Smoke Smell? | 27 Feb 2008 10:01 GMT | 20 |
I recently obtained an upgraded video card (a PNY Nvidia 6800 GT) to put into my aging P4P800SE mobo. The card is great but problem is that the card came from a computer that must have been used by a smoker. Its fan is "spreading" the smell around. Is there anything that can ...

http://vr-zone.com/articles/GeForce_9800_GTX_Card_Photos_%26_Specs_Unveiled/5599.html It will be interesting to see how much faster it is against the current 8800GTS 512MB. Both apparently use the G92 with 128SPs, with the 9800GTX clocked at 673 MHz versus the 8800GTS' 650 MHz. Of ...

| Nvidia 8800 GT - Which One? | 27 Feb 2008 02:38 GMT | 7 |
There are 2 8800GT products: N801-AR and N802-AR. The 801 is 600 MHZ core and the 802 is 650 MHZ and advertised as overclock/superclock. Given over clock capabilities which one is really the best buy since the 801 is about $30 cheaper and presumambly can be clocked to

| 9600GT Questions | 27 Feb 2008 02:26 GMT | 1 |
I see that the new nVidia 9600GT cards are out and doing high core clock and memory clock numbers, but they also have fewer "stream processors" than the 8800GT cards. What does that mean? That the 9600GT cards aren't as powerful

| 9600GT and 9800GT naming.. | 26 Feb 2008 23:57 GMT | 4 |
Anyone who has been into computers long enough will remember the ATI 9600 and 9800 range of cards. Can't work out why nVidia chose similar names. Is it me or is this a golden opportunity for the Ebay scammers?

| DVD playback | 26 Feb 2008 10:51 GMT | 7 |
nVidia marketing states that DVD playback capability is built into their 7 series and above cards and off-loads that processing from the CPU. Is there a certain DVD playback package that utilizes this function? I'm using Power DVD 6 in WinXP SP2. i've got a "boxfull" of 7 ...

I'm builing a system with an Asus EN8600GT/HTDP/512M. The CPU is an Intel Q6600. My question is this: The 8600GT does not need an extra power plug but the 8800GT does, why is this?

| GEForce 5200 - output to S-video with Vista | 25 Feb 2008 21:24 GMT | 3 |
I am trying to output to S-video on this card. I can't seem to get it to work on my tv. I have the input on the TV correct. Do I have to set anything in Vista to select the DVI/VGA output vs. the S-video output? When I look in the Nvidia control panel, I see only 1 monitor
