I seem to recall reading somewhere that NVIDIA would be coming out with
lesser chipsets in the 8000 series for those who don't want or need the
power of the 8800 cards.
Does anybody here have any information, or a link, that addresses what may

I am looking at ordering, the EVGA 8800 GTS from NewEgg.
My current system is:
EVGA 680i mb
Intel Core2 Due E6600
AGP card to drive DVI@1600x1200 and VGA@1280x1024?07 Apr 2007 23:07 GMT13
I need to upgrade my GeForce3 Ti 200 to something that will
drive two monitors: a DVI-D at 1600x1200 and an analog VGA at
1280x1024.

Bought card off EBAY with a Zalman cooler, ntune reports 425/1100 and
provides very good display.  Problem is that on power up to Windows
NVIDIA reports insufficent power warning & suggests that card will
have reduced POWER, I don't see that.  I have a 600W "X" power supply

It says shutdown threshold is 130°C

I just purchased a inspiron 6400 with a nvidia geforce go 7300 video
card.  I didn't purchase the higher resolution screen and I am kind of
regretting it.
My screen is WXGA and has a resolution of 1280 x 800.

I've had to use a back up graphics card, the mx4000.
I use to play alot of cs:source with my old card 6600GT, but now im only
able to play it with really low res with no settings up. What im wanting

Aren't there any more recent drivers available for the 8800 series and
Windows XP ? The last ones on the site are version 97.92 of January 10.

Can the temperature of this card be measured or not? I don't think
this one has temperature sensors.
And, whether the answer is yes or no, what program do I have to use to
be able to do this?
