After the problem with SLI notification .. now i can't remove nvidia from my tray! "enable taskbar icon" under the settings is always ENABLE ... every boot!

Been a few years since last built a PC (pre- pci-e). Building new computer for a non-gamer. Will do some limited video editing. Intel 820 cpu, Intel 945 mobo. 1 gb RAM. Looking for around $50-55 range. 128mb RAM onboard at least.

could anyone recommend me an SLI setup, midrange is fine. I want to build a system that is watercooled, got the thermaltake tide water cooler dual. And i would like recommends for suitable nvidia cards for it if poss. TIA

I currently am running an AMD FX57 in SLI (7800GTX from eVGA), windows XP sp2, version 84.21 video driver installed and everything runs well. Question, should I upgrade to the latest version posted on the nVidia web site? Would I gain anything or am I just asking for trouble?

I expected that this would be a small step up from my GeF4 Ti4200 on my Shuttle An35N mobo, but video-wise this is as slow as molasses!!! Definitely slower than my old setup. Mobo's fine, but how do I get that vid card to go faster?

I have an eVGA 7800GS with driver 84.22 installed. When I play a game, the fan speed increases so loud that you can hear in on Mars. I know this is the drivers doing this but I need for it to stop. Is there anyway to stop the driver from increasing the fan speed? I know there are ...

I bouhgt a brand new DELL computer and tried pluggin it in to my viewsonic va1912w widescreen. Dont work. Blurry picture. Problem: Cant set the settings to 1440x900. Have to go with 1360x768 with black borders... so my 19 is now a 17 monitor.
