| Ok Guys, You Helped Once..... | 31 Oct 2005 09:06 GMT | 3 |
The readers here were kind enough to help me select a card and I am thrilled with the results. Perhaps someone knows the answer to this question..... I removed a GeForce Ti4600 from my PC. Rather then sell it, I took a look at the system requirements and thought that card would ...

| Steam sound loop crashes?? | 31 Oct 2005 08:25 GMT | 5 |
I post more in hope than expectation that someone out there knows a fix for the soundloop crash in Counter Strike and Half Life 2 with Nforce mainboards. I won't go into my system specs as anyone who knows about this problem, will not bore us with irrelevant questions about my ...

| 6800 comparisons | 31 Oct 2005 01:35 GMT | 9 |
I have an AGP 8x MoBo and I am not looking to upgrade to PCI-X for a while. This somewhat limits my video upgrade path for the future, but for now, it looks like an NVidia 6800 is the Top of the line AGP video card. Now I wonder what is the difference between

| How to remove display modes? | 30 Oct 2005 19:20 GMT | 1 |
Is it possible to remove display modes from being available in the screen resolution list? Reason I ask is because some of the older games O have which require a parameter such as -w1024 to run at 1024x768 don't work anymore because there

I got a problem with my old system (probably my own stupidity): I've a pretty old system (PIII, 500MHz, Win98SE, TNT2) with Nvidia drivers 41.xx installed and DX9.0c. Everything was OK. Then I decided to upgrade the graphics card driver to 77.72. Setup

Hi, I have various .wmv, .mpg files that will no longer play in fullscreen mode in WindowsXP media player after this latest round of drivers. When you hit alt-enter it attempts to go fullscreen, then apparently hits an error and goes back to windowed mode.

Are there any AGP cards out there that have 512 MB RAM? The only ones I have found were very expensive ones from 3D-Labs. Any NVidia 6800's out there with 512MB?

| blasted NVIEW *again*! | 29 Oct 2005 14:06 GMT | 1 |
Again, after a few blissfull weeks, without nview, and the control panel display properties only displaying one monitor, nview has kicked in again. (windows are being restored "off screen", things have slowed down a bit and a few demos refuse to run..)
