AIW 9700 - Slow Screen Redraw w/ Latest Catalyst Drivers31 Dec 2008 00:32 GMT1
I've installed the latest Catalyst drivers on my trusty old AIW 9700 and now
everything redraws on the screen very slowly.  It's painful as every
application renders on the screen in slow redraws.  Scrolling up or down is
extremely slow...whether it's web pages or photos.  I've ...
ATI's Catalyst system tray icon options...30 Dec 2008 18:04 GMT3
I went back to ATI Radeon video cards (HD 4870 512 GB) after being
frustrated with NVIDIA's buggy Windows driver and lack of fullscreen
video on my old TV (known issue -- no more fullscreen video mirror) with
newer drivers and card models. So far, I am happy with my ATI cards and ...

Does the 4870 work on Striker extreme mobo.  I have read that they don't
work together.

ATI Radeon 4870 & aspect ratio problem with fullscreen videos on an old CRT TV.30 Dec 2008 01:56 GMT1
I noticed all fullscreen videos on my 15 years old CRT have a little
weird aspect ratio. Basically, everytthing squish vertically. Like
people's head are more wider than the original source on my primary 19"
LCD monitor. What's up with that and is there a way to fix that? I tried ...
ATI Radeon Mobility X600 Drivers for Toshiba Tecra S228 Dec 2008 02:34 GMT1
I have an old Toshiba Tecra S2 laptop that crashes occassionally when
you try to play games, it goes to a blue screen of death with an
error
code that involves the graphic drivers.
Which driver would you recommend?25 Dec 2008 04:00 GMT1
After an 18 month long stint wihth an Nvidia card I got me an 4850 to be
a little more up to date.
Before I had the nvidia card I used ATI for over 5 years and I always
used the alternative Omegadrivers. I checked his site recently and it
Need advice to buy a new video card.24 Dec 2008 09:59 GMT6
This PC is used to do tax, email and browse the Internet. No
gaming. It is running Windows 2000 now. With most tax software not
supporting Windows 2000 any more, I have to upgrade to new version
of Windows this year.
Need advice. Kind of fallen behind in what is out there23 Dec 2008 14:33 GMT4
Hi all, I have been happily using an All In Wonder 9600 card for
several years. No games. I use it for the TV recording.
Last week, it gave up the ghost, and so I have looked for a direct
replacement, as its the card that does  what I want. Kind of expensive
Aukland NZ dates for cruise22 Dec 2008 04:06 GMT1
Mary Lou,
Could you look at the Cabin newsletters for arrival-departure dates and
times for Auckland? My pictures seem to be terrible confused with multiple
pictures and two different days and time for a bunch of the Auckland stop.

Props to Capcom, they made the  PS3 / 360 versions nearly identical.
Naturally the PC version will be best, with options to run RE5 in
Which ATI brand to get and avoid for ATI Radeon 48xx video cards?18 Dec 2008 21:59 GMT6
I am currently getting either ATI Radeon 4850 or 4870 (single card; with
TV out for my old 20" CRT TV and VCR (will replace them later on); 512
MB/1 GB of VRAM) for my next major computer upgrade.
Are there any specific brands (e.g., Sapphire, Gigabyte, or ATI?) and
Is there a way I can talk with the catalyst drivers directly for AIW     HD?15 Dec 2008 00:55 GMT1
All,
I am a graduate student who has in mind some research involving the
ATI AIW HD cards.   I need to be able to control both the tuner and
frame capture programmatically.   I do not care if it is Vista or

Do I need 1 or 2 GB of VRAM for ATI Radeon HD 4850/4870?14 Dec 2008 05:27 GMT21
I only play games and use my desktop at 1280x1024 screen resolution on
my 19" LCD monitor (only a couple years old too). I doubt I will ever
upgrade to a bigger monitor due to my limited desk size (esp. the
height). I do crank all graphic details (e.g., FSAA, anistropic to 16X)
HDTV out from a 4870?13 Dec 2008 00:20 GMT12
So I'm the proud new owner of a 4870 (Samsung 1080p).  Using just HDMI
from the DVI out doesn't looks very good at all.  What about the
connector that looks like an S-video output between the two DVI outputs?
Does one need a special cable or something?
