Cat 8.9 introduces a new display mode for 1080p @50hz, Overdrive for QUAD
CrossfireX, and OpenGL 3.0 support.  A few tweaks for games.
I own an HD4870, nothing new for me.  I'm skipping this one.

The release of the HD 4870x2 is scheduled to be by the first of August.  It
will have 2gb of GDDR5 memory on it.  It is expected to be priced around
$499 US.

I cant find any direct benchmarks. Was wondering if upgrading an old AGP PC
was worth it. It currently has the 9500Pro in it.
The 7300GT series seemed to have the same stats.

Unfortunately, the top card will still choke in a Crossfire setup, if the
two cards are installed next to each other. Nvidia's fan design (with a
slight cant) is superior in this regard.

I have just purchased an Asus 4850 . I use Smartdoctor to control the
fanspeed.
For some reason Smartdoctor wasn't running anymore and when I manualy
started it it gave a GPU processor temperature of 100 C! I wonder does

I am not able to find the exact legth of the new ATI HD4850/70 cards
(reference design) 512MB and/or 1024MB. I would like to know if it is longer
