DVI Cable Type29 Jul 2008 21:04 GMT1
I'm having the hardest time trying to find the right cable for my
video card.  It's a VisionTek 256MB X1300 DMS59 SFF PCI-e (Graphics by
ATI).  It supports dual monitors.  The splitter cable that came with
the card broke during a move.  I thought it would be easy to replace

2400 install audio question24 Jul 2008 10:49 GMT3
Just got a diamond stealth 2400 pro, running Vista 32bit sp1.   The audio is
gone from my computer, redownloaded the audio (from the motherboard) driver
and no go, no audio.    How do I correct this, the ATI and diamond web sites
are not helping.

Evening all,
I've just installed this new card to replace an X850XT; running under
XP32 (or XP64) I'm not seeing any performance increase, quite the
opposite in fact.

Asus 485022 Jul 2008 00:06 GMT7
This card works very well with FEAR and COD4, but when I try any Source
games it will run for 10-20 seconds then go blank screen.  I've tried
the 8.5, 8.6, 8.6 hotfix, and 8.7 beta drivers.  All of them do the same
thing.  The monitor shows no signal and I have to shutdown then ...

I am needing to do some video editing and want to upgrade my video
card.  My current operating system is Windows XP SP3.  The board's

I have one AGP slot (2.0 compliant) and an empty PCI slot below it.
Radeon 3870 vs. GeForce 8800GT21 Jul 2008 00:27 GMT7
Hey guys. I'm struggling to see which of the Radeon 3870 and the
GeForce 8800GT has the better performance.
Basically I'm getting a motherboard with an X48 chipset, so I'm
leaning towards the Radeon so that in the future I could CrossFire two

Weard experience installing the HD487019 Jul 2008 15:48 GMT2
I read everything that anyone had to say about the HD4870 and I felt I had a
good idea what to expect. So, as instructed, I went to the 'Control
anel'  -  'Add or Remove Programs'  - 'ATI - Software Uninstall Utility' and
had ATI remove everything supporting my old HD3870. Turned ...
Don't get 48xx series card unless you have fast cpu19 Jul 2008 15:47 GMT9
I have 3.4GHZ C2D so I am ok but a friend went from 3870 to 4850 on AMD
2.4GHZ cpu and the stress test in HL-2 Lost Coast shows hardly any
difference for him. For him it is not a worthwhile upgrade so think about
that if you are planning to get a 4850 or 4870 and you don't have a ...

4pin 4850 to mobo spdif cable - where to get?18 Jul 2008 22:05 GMT1
My Asus P5Q3 mobo manual talks of a 4pin cable that connects a mobo
spdif connector to a 4pin connector on an Asus graphics card.  This
supposedly lets the audio be handled on the, for example, 4850 card
and then out thru its HDMI connection.
