Error message mscoree.dll30 Apr 2008 17:45 GMT1
Recently did a fresh install of Windows 2000 and the current ATI drivers for
my video card (Radeon 9250).  At startup I get an error message saying it
can't find the dynamic link library mscoree.dll.  I click ok and everything
works fine.  How can I get rid of this error message?
Blue/yellow vertical stripes27 Apr 2008 23:19 GMT2
Lately my screen has had about 1-inch wide vertical stripes in blue or
yellow, depending on the background (blue on black, yellow on white).
It changes when windows are moved/opened/minimized, video is played,
or sometimes when the mouse moves.  Any ideas what's causing it or how
Nvidia's 9800 GTX and 9800 GX2 seem to be a  waste of time & money26 Apr 2008 06:20 GMT12
If you have a 8800 GTX, 8800 Ultra or 8800 GT, you might as well save
your money, don't waste it on 9800 GTX or 9800 GX2.   These cards are
more or less what you already have. In  some important areas, really
less.  Save it for the upcoming GT200 based 9900GTX or 9900GX2.  Which

Cheapest Method to Play DVD on X1200?18 Apr 2008 18:04 GMT1
Forgive my ignorance, but I'm ignorant.
I've been using my business partner's HP Media Center,
running XP, to develop some software.  I've come to
enjoy putting a DVD movie in the lower left corner as I
DVI Signal Not Detected17 Apr 2008 14:41 GMT2
My OS is a fully up to date version of Windows XP Pro. My Viewsonic
VP2330wb monitor works just fine with the ATI Radeon X1600 (256 meg)
video card when I use the VGA cable. When I use the DVI cable, the

I have an 19" LCD monitor with the resolution 1440 x 900, and I play
such games as Half-Life 2 DM, Team Fortress 2, Bioshock, FEAR, Dark
Messiah and Silent Hunter 4.
So far, I felt that the screen size (19") was al'right for the first-
Audio processing via GPU13 Apr 2008 20:04 GMT5
Came across a very interesting subject -- Efficient 3D Audio
Processing on the GPU.
It's available at http://www-sop.inria.fr/reves/projects/GPUAudio/
What interest about it is the ingenuity of the project, in tapping
Custom resolutions on ATI HD cards11 Apr 2008 22:47 GMT1
Have not had an ATI card for maybe ten years.
Was very interested in the new 780G motherboards that have on-board HD2400,
but I have read some alarming reports of people being unable to set custom
res using the HDMI out.
Is ATI still making All-in-Wonder?10 Apr 2008 23:15 GMT3
I have a new motherboard with the PCI-Express bus, which means I don't
think I can use my old AGB All-in-Wonder 9600 card in it.  Does ATI still
make a combo card I can use containing both the graphics adapter and the
PVR like the old All-in-Wonder?  Unfortunately, their web site ...
