| I hope I didn't damage my HD3870... | 31 Jan 2008 00:20 GMT | 1 |
I was playing around with Ati Tool today. With a Thermalright HS, the GPU temp was always below 47C even when running 3D Mark 06. So, I clicked "find max core." It went up & up..to 840, 850 and then suddenly my PC lost video signal.

| HD3870 X2 Benchmarked | 31 Jan 2008 00:12 GMT | 9 |
Nothing too surprising here. Games that previously scaled well in Crossfire saw excellent performance with the X2, even faster than 8800GT SLI in some cases. Games that previously didn't scale well, saw poor performance. http://www.fpslabs ...

| Cat 8.1 Hotfix | 29 Jan 2008 02:44 GMT | 6 |
In eternal optimism I installed these after reading the link First of One provided about restored functionality for AGP card (Barton 3200, X1650 Pro 512Mb, XP Home SP2) and was immediately treated to the dreaded "Zero Display Service Error" . Restoring to the Cat 7.5's made it ...

| FireGL V8650 Vs. NVIDIA QuadroFX 5600 Review | 25 Jan 2008 11:21 GMT | 5 |
The hardware probably don't mean much unless you are a workstation user. I just read the article for the pictures. Nothing quite like two massive video cards that don't require a kickstand... ATi even went as far as putting a gusset in the heatsink plate, making it a semi-stressed ...

| ABIT rx300 PCIe bios flash? | 25 Jan 2008 03:06 GMT | 3 |
I've an ABIT RX300 PCIe on my ASUS A8N-SLI-Deluxe mainboard. I bought the RX300 because it was inexpensive (I'm not a gamer"), was PCIe, and had a DVI output. Since the system was built two years ago, 1 boot of 3 or so gives me

| ATI MMC 9.08 or earlier won't install... | 24 Jan 2008 19:52 GMT | 1 |
whenever I try installing ATI MultiMedia Center v9.08 (or earlier, like 9.06 or 9.03) it never finishes. It begins by extracting the files, then setup begins, sort of. Once setup starts, it immediately minimizes to a tab on the taskbar

| Pretty Pointless Post | 21 Jan 2008 11:12 GMT | 3 |
I had this long plea for help from the ATI videocards newsgroup ready to go, and just before I hit the "send" button I had a brainstorm. So now that I've solved what seemed at first to be a real puzzler, what do I do with this long message I've spent so much time writing? ...

| No Video After Standby | 20 Jan 2008 02:16 GMT | 1 |
I'm running XP SP2 with an HD3870 & CCC 7.12. Sometimes I get no video signal after coming out of the standby mode. Everything else seems coming back except the video. The card seems to send some signal because my monitor comes out of its sleep mode but shows

I recently recieved my second HD3870, I tried to set up crossfire, the driver installed fine, on reboot, when I go to device manager, it has a warning against the first card, code 43. This is a software problem. I run vista home premium 64 bit, a Q6600 @ 3.0Ghz, 8Gb ram, ...

| X800 256MB - Max res with dual monitors? | 18 Jan 2008 09:42 GMT | 2 |
What is the max resolution that the X800 256MB can support when running dual monitors? I'm currently running a single 24" at 1920X1200 on DVI and was wanting to add a second monitor, either a 20" at 1600X1200 or another 24" at 1920X1200.
