Catalyst ?.?? and Nero 731 Oct 2006 16:32 GMT4
I installed the Nero 7 demo, and it promptly attacked the mmc. I had to upgrade the mmc to use nero7.

Now I can't turn the echo sound off, or the capture device.
Is there an older mmc 9.02 ...

Sweet Gaming Goodness31 Oct 2006 02:57 GMT4
I've put off a full PC upgrade for 4 years. I have gone through a few video
cards since then, my last being the 9800pro. But my GHz P4 was starting to
really slow me down as well. I just couldn't wait any longer because I was
tired of having to turn down/off most of the eye candy ...

X1900GT Installation Question30 Oct 2006 05:18 GMT1
My Intel Bad Axe motherboard has an onboard 12v 1x4 PCI-e power connector,
which powers PCI-e cards. I, of course, connected a power cable to it. Now,
my X1900GT card has a 2x3 PCI-e power connector. Should I also connect a
power cable to it???
Widescreen with 9700 PRO30 Oct 2006 03:25 GMT1
A friend of mine, living out of state, has a 9700 Pro and a widescreen
monitor (1440x900) and can't seem to get the card to display that
resolution. What driver or setup should he use? He's currently using a VGA
cable, however the monitor has DVI capability.
Radeon VE 7000 and playing DVDs29 Oct 2006 14:51 GMT6
I've had an older Radeon card, the VE, working flawlessly in Windows XP
with just the Catalyst driver installed, viewed on a DVI-I connected
LCD monitor.  Having installed about four ATI cards in the last decade
I did not opt to install all the bloatware.  In the interim, alas, I

Vista won't boot with HDTV Wonder installed28 Oct 2006 21:10 GMT1
I have a recent computer with a X1800 All-In-Wonder PCI-e graphics card and

Wonder. After much frustration, I finally discovered that ...
Radeon X600 upgrade path28 Oct 2006 20:09 GMT6
My Hewlett Packard m1090n (3.6GHz, upgraded to 3GB ram) has a defective
Radeon x600 video card. Since I have to replace the card anyhow, I would
like to utilize this opportunity to upgrade to a higher end video card. I
should probably stick with the same brand. So, what would be ...

MSI and ATI27 Oct 2006 16:57 GMT1
I missed this group on an initial search; so I posted to the MSI group but
that group doesn't seem to too active these days.
At any rate, I think I'm going to move the nVidia 6200 card in this machine
to my wife's machine so she'll be able to use all the Vista features and I'm
