Do they would be nice iam thinking of dumping NVDIA for this reason.
No one to bitch to. They must get the problem info from somewhere ?
/PS New card would have been a 7800gt what do ATI have that matches

Hi everyone, I have a stupid question:
I bought my wife a Samsung Syncmaster 730B 17" LCD monitor for Christmas,
and it has both analog <currently used> and DVI ports.
I went to the local Staples to get a DVI cable, and wow was I shocked.....

As header, since I had a virus I cant access the control centre!
I get a "you do not have permission  - - - -etc" warning.
I fear I may have deleted something but when I re-load the driver (latest
from ati) etc I still get nothing - - any ideas what may be wrong? tia.

Using Catalyst 5.11 with the RADEON X800GT, I'm finding that the Displays
tab is defective.   The drivers don't recognize any monitor as attached to

just moved away from nvidia to ati and bought x1800xt 512mb....
when I got to over drive the setting I want to clock to are different to
actual, current settings - how does this work.  Settings have been applied

Is there a card that ATI produces with dual DVI ports and is AGP?  I want
independent outs, one to which I can go 1776x1000 to my Sony 50" HDTV for
playing games.  I currently have a 8500 AIW and a barrowed Radeon 9200

I put a radeon 7500 in my computer, and installed a DRI driver from
this site: http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/ (that's what ATI said to do
on their site).
Now, the X server doesn't start.  In the Xorg.0.log, it says:
X1800XT PE BIOS on X1800XT29 Dec 2005 21:19 GMT2
I've read through dozens of pages of forum dialog on the "Topic" and have
only heard success stories.
My Sapphire X1800XT, however, will not run stably with the X1800XT PE BIOS.
I suspected it wouldn't because of the less than mediocre overclocks I was
