Stupid question: ATI Radeon 9600 S-Video out25 Jun 2005 13:21 GMT10
I should know this, but I'm thoroughly confused my conflicting
explainations. I have a Sapphire ATI Radeon 9600 video card that came
with no dongle. The s-video out seems to have slots for seven pins. I
thought s-video cables had five. What's the deal with the extra pins?

I  have been using the Radeon 8500 DV video card under XP on my Pentium
IV PC quite satisfactorily for the last few years with the 6.13.10.3286

Some months ago, I installed a DVD Writer for capturing directly on DVD
How does 9800 Pro compare with modern cards?24 Jun 2005 17:45 GMT44
You can pick up a 9800 Pro for £85 ($140) just now and I was wondering how
this card compares (on an AGP system) with more modern cards?
Do X700/800 or nVidia 6600/6800 blow it away? Can it play modern games? And
will be able to play new games that come out in the next 12 months? ...
No channels on S-video or composite24 Jun 2005 16:31 GMT1
I went and splurged for a s-video cable.
I can see what's up on the channels via s-video and composite now. Actually I
think I always had composite.
Unusual setup might be some of the problem. If there is..
Fast Writes Causes Flashing Polygons In Doom324 Jun 2005 15:14 GMT8
Just a head's up to anyone enabling Fast Writes to gain smoother framerates
in WMV9 high-def videos.
On my Athlon64 system with a Soltek K8T800 Pro motherboard and a Radeon
9800Pro, enabling FW causes random flashing polygons to appear onscreen. So

Confused About Driver Version24 Jun 2005 03:22 GMT2
I have the ATI Tool and it says I have Catalyst Version 4.12 loaded. Yet
when I go to Aquamark's web site and view the detail from one of my scores,
the View Detail information shows that my driver is 6.14.10.6497.
I just downloaded Catalyst 5.6 from ATI's website. What will my ...
