OT - PC Split Screen games31 Dec 2004 20:34 GMT3
Off topic... I love this forum.
O.k., I wanted to know if there's any split-screen first-person shooter
games for PC like Serious Sam. I tried googling for some, but no luck.
I would do a network, but my friend has a crap computer and he can't

Does anyone have a clue when the ALL-IN-WONDER X800 will be really on
sale. I can't believe ATI announced this card in Sept. and have still
not produced even one for sale or review! The last rumour I heard was

What is the best ATI AGP card for around 100 bucks?31 Dec 2004 05:35 GMT5
Had some one give me a P4 that clocks to 1.8 easily (its actually a 1.5 I
believe) It already has a dual head ati card in it a RV-100. I want to use
it for my sons machine to play games. It can't be a very fast machine as it
still uses the PC-133 but I have a half gig of memory ...

I bought a PEAK ATi 9600 Pro, a few weeks ago and the fan is now making a
right racket!  Talk about a pile of crap for a fan !
Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a new fan to fit onto the
card?  I have been told that the Artic Coolers are overkill for these cards

X850, no AGP, this sux30 Dec 2004 16:45 GMT20
ATI customer care replied to my query and confirmed that "there are no plans
to produce the X850 in AGP format", but then hedged their bets by saying
"maybe later in 2005". There's only $50 between the X800XT PE AGP and the
X850XT PE PE, but add to that a new mobo, 1 MB of RAM and a ...

Refresh rate override and CAT 4.1229 Dec 2004 18:08 GMT4
I was very happy to finally see a built-in refresh override feature in the
4.12 drivers, and it seems to work just fine. However, after a reboot the 3d
Refresh Rate Override setting reverts to Same as desktop, instead of the
specific refresh rate value I set it to.
