Does anyone here have any experience connecting to a Hawking Tech HNAS1

The only way to eliminate information on your hard disc drive is the
heat the platters beyond Curie point. This will ensure all data is
disk error bursts22 Jun 2009 21:26 GMT2
The frequency with which disk sectors become unreadable seems to have
remained relatively stable over the years, though one might hope that it
will decrease significantly with the expected move to 4 KB sectors (at
least if correction bits per sector increase somewhere nearly

Addonics Storage Towers? Good/Bad?22 Jun 2009 13:53 GMT1
I have been looking everywhere for reasonably cheap (cost wise) esata/
usb, 4bay, RAID 1 storage solutions and while there are some
undisputedly top notch options out there they seem to start at $500 on
up and none seem to support 2tb internal drives.

spools around, forward, backward, and so on.
After hours I get input/output errors.

3753 RPM for old PC/AT 20MB MFM hard drive17 Jun 2009 11:52 GMT16
I was looking at the specs for the 20MB MFM hard drive in the original
IBM PC/AT. The Tech Manual states that the rotational speed was 3573
RPM +/- 0.5%. The motor is a 3-phase DC type. I'm wondering why 3573
RPM and not 3600 RPM?
