| Connecting WD My Book through ESATA vs. USB | 27 Jan 2009 05:06 GMT | 30 |
A friend of mine has a 500GB WD My Book. It's got one wierd issue, and that is that you can't read its SMART info when it's being connected via ESATA, but it works perfectly fine when connected through USB. My assumption was that SMART only works through ESATA not USB, but it

| Any other tools around that tell me the firmware of my Seagate HDD? | 24 Jan 2009 08:56 GMT | 6 |
My Win2K box is running on a nForce2-based mainboard (Delta ILSR by MSI) and these boards would support IDE by default, but also provide additional SATA support by a second controller. This seems to be the problem where the Seagate guys did not test thoroughly
