Actually, the hard disk drive is not USB but rather IDE. It is a laptop 2.5" with IDE interface that I want to access in my dekstop PC. I thought of buying an IDE/SATA/ATA adapter for 2.5 3.5 HDD CDROM like this:

As I know, ghost makes fingerprint on the beginning of hard drive sector when hard drive is cloned. Does true image make fingerprint like ghost ??

Hi to all... I've bought an used LTO HP Ultrium 1, and i want to know how much it was used, i've tryied with the hp l&tt utility (versions 3.5 SR4 e 4.4), but it doesn't say me nothing about the usage.

I have a Buffalo Linkstation Live 320 and have enabled FTPing on it. But I don't know the ftp address to put in my browser? Anyone know what it is? Also I have to port forward port 21 on my router.

how is it in USA, when you buy an internal harddisk, is it preformatted, prepartitioned so you can immediately use it or not ? And if it isn't, is it marked as "unformatted" ?

I have both SAS and U160 drives I'd like to use at the same time. I have an Adaptec 29160 and a 4805SAS. When I add the 4805 to my MB, on boot up the U160 drives register fine with the 29160, but when it gets to the 4805 it says: can not invoke ROM

I have tried to used file-based recovery solutions to recover a disappeared, small text file, but to no avail. I'm sure the file data is there (it has not been overwritten) so I want to search the unused space of the disk for a text string.
