I thought of buying an IDE/SATA/ATA adapter for 2.5 3.5 HDD CDROM like

I'm having issues with a 160GB SATA CMS Automatic Backup System we just
purchased.  The idea is to send this unit with a Dell D630 laptop to a
remote sales person so they can backup their laptop.  The software
itself is very slick: just connect the drive to the laptop and it

Running SAS and U160 concurrently?26 Sep 2007 17:56 GMT6
I have both SAS and U160 drives I'd like to use at the same time.  I have
an Adaptec 29160 and a 4805SAS.
When I add the 4805 to my MB, on boot up the U160 drives register fine
with the 29160, but when it gets to the 4805 it says:  can not invoke ROM
Warning about IDE to SATA Devices26 Sep 2007 08:34 GMT9
I figured I'd drop my old IDE drives in my new computer* with one of
those little $8 devices that plugs on the back of an IDE hard drive
(Sata Host to IDE Drive device).  It has a 40 pin female that fits the
drive and a place to plug a standard SATA signal cable.  I also had to
Saerch raw data on disk25 Sep 2007 03:14 GMT4
I have tried to used file-based recovery solutions to recover a

space of the disk for a text string.

Yesterday I asked this question on the hardware newsgroup, but as this
one is more focused on storage questions, even if my hardware is not of
mark IBM, I eventually wonder whether it would not be more appropriate ...
I recently bought a new disk (a Samsung one, 400 GB), that I ...
