external USB housing.
Now - when I connect the disk to any PC - the PC starts to search

bad clusters/sectors on new laptop, chkdsk gets stuck trying to repair06 Aug 2007 19:52 GMT56
I recently bought a new HP laptop with an extended warrantee.
In the past few weeks, often I would get the blue screen of death and
the system will just spontaneously crash and then I have to reboot. I
ran chkdsk and it says there are errors on the drive (no specifics).

Maximum Speeds for SATA Drives01 Aug 2007 14:41 GMT9
When a SATA drive employs more than one cylinder, are they striping data
across the cylinders transparently, or are they just laying out data
contiguously on any given track / cylinder?     I have someone telling me
that they have been measuring 150 MB / second throughputs on ...
