I have two daughters in college and I know that they will not remember often to back up their computers. I am wondering if it is a consideration to purchase a router with a VPN or to purchase a program that will set up a VPN to allow them to back up

I need to implement a RAID 1 solution for a high end desktop machine, and I'm considering 2 options: 1) Use the onboard(cheap) SATA RAID controller on my motherboard with 2 Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 74GB 10K SATA drives.

When booting the Drive Image 7 or Ghost 10 CD, is USB 2.0 supported? I just tried DI7 and it looks like a drive restore is only going at USB 1.x speed. Yes I realize I could get USB 2.0 speed if I do a drive to drive copy when booted into XP, but I don't have the 2.5" IDE

The declared transfer rate of a Fujitsu DynaMO 2300 magneto-optical drive is approximately 8.5 Mb/s. However, I am not able not obtain more than some 600 to 800 kb/s (by using 2.3GB disks on Win2000 and WinXP). Is the 800 kb/s transfer rate a real maximum of that device or

Very disappointed by IBM. Purchased an xSeries 225 server over a yesr ago. One drive failed, and now I CANNOT replace the drive. It is manufactired by Seagate, and the part itself has 5 years warranty. However IBM gives me only 1 year. GO FIGURE. NICE JOB

i don't know how it happened but i did not record the unlock key for my legitimate copy of norton partition magic and now need to reinstall it. does anyone know of a way to get the key off the cd without having to grovel and plead with the symantec people?

I've got an hp8580c, it has 3 optical bays. In the top bay i've got a dvd burner, in the 2nd and 3rd bays I've got removable IDE trays. the internal hard disk resides in the internal 4th bay.

The Hard Drive in question was taken out of a HP Computer as the Owner couldnt format it to install XP, I have tried and its takeing ages, after 7 hours I have given up. The Drive is a 40 gig Samsung its not that old, Maybe its stuffed.
