I have found that my 40 GB IDE drive is quickly becoming full. I have seen some deals on both IDE and serial ATA drives. I know my P4P800E-Deluxe motherboard will support serial ATA but I read somewhere that it is hard to set up with Windows XP. Is this true?

My NTFS file system is damaged. Oddly enough Partition Magic 8 and Uneraser 2.01 are both reporting that the file system is now FAT 16. PartitionInfo says that there are disk errors and geometry errors. Uneraser does not seem to be able to recover any files on my

I can see that netbackup volume pools are for pooling of tapes based on a requirement (unix backups, wintel backups, sybase backups etc etc etc), and I can see that volume pools are allegedly for geographical grouping.

Just got back from CompUSA with new external (USB) hard drive. Plugged it into my PC (WinXP) and new hardware was recognized. So I went into MY COMPUTER and found C-drive and D-cd, and NOTHING ELSE. I want to do a backup...but TO WHERE?

I've seen a fanless one with metal mesh sides and stupid blue cathode glow tube, but I'm hoping to find a basic plastic one. So far, all are fan types. Anybody know if what I'm looking for exists? --
