Arcam player stops playing newly burned discs29 Jul 2008 20:21 GMT3
A very strange problem today. My Arcam CD72 player has stopped
recognising newly burnt CDR discs. "no disc" is the error message I get,
but strangely it continues to play previously burnt discs, just not new
ones. Even more strange, all these problem discs WILL play in my
Verifying whether a CD/DVD is a true copy ?29 Jul 2008 20:20 GMT11
Is there a free utility program that compares two CDs or DVDs and
verifies whether they are an exact bit-by-bit copy of each other?

I'm truly sorry about this, but when I had finger poised to merge edited reg
file, panic struck:
"Into the Nero Folder" the instructions say. I have the main folder
D:\Programs\Nero7. as I have named it, which is only a list of subfolders.
Can't read a burned DVD29 Jul 2008 20:19 GMT17
I got a burned Memorex 4.7 GB 16X DVD+R (RW) with a huge 4 GB RAR file.
I am unable to read it on multiple computers:

Sequential compilations - retrieve each data bundle?29 Jul 2008 20:19 GMT11
Nero 7 does not supply the tool needed to access earlier burned files. In
Win XP, device manager, hardware, CD/DVD drive properties file shows

recently burned
Verbatim DVD made in India?29 Jul 2008 20:17 GMT3
The latest batch of Verbatim DVD+R I bought were made in India instead of
Taiwan.  These used to have a reputation of being inconsistent in quality,
but I've had no problems so far.  Given that India may be the next China
for mass manufacturing and has a significant high tech ...

Backup copy of Game CD - how to ? 19 Jul 2008 18:29 GMT3
I need to make a copy of a game CD. My original has gone bad, cleaning
did not rescue it. The manufacturer says I've "abused" it and I have
to buy a new copy of the game as they will not supply an
exhange/replacement (not!, it's actually been fairly well cared for).
Video DVD Duplicator19 Jul 2008 18:28 GMT2
Let me recommend you a nice software program that I've tested recently.
Video DVD Duplicator creates the full copy of DVD discs, copies DVD
movies to DVD (DVD+R/DVD-R/DVD-RW) or CD (CD-R/CD-RW), converts DVD to
DivX, DVD to VCD. Fast. easy and reliable, it can be a nice
Make bootable CD-Rom from good bootable CD-Rom?19 Jul 2008 18:27 GMT4
I have a good bootable CD-Rom which includes nic drivers to ghost
desktops/laptops. It works fine, but i found out that it didn't include
a particular nic driver for one desktop model.
Now this bootable CD-Rom won't let me just add the nic driver, so i
