Printing to NON inject printable CDs and DVDs31 Jan 2008 21:55 GMT43
I want to be able to print to *NON* inkjet printable CDs and DVDs.
You can write on these fine with a Sharpie etc but when you use normal ink,
it takes a hell of a long time for the ink to dry enough so it doesnt smudge.
I just want to put a little bit of text on the CD or DVD, not ...

media lasts 100 years in a cool dark place, shelf life of 30 years.

Is it possible for a disc that the operating system thinks is blank to
contain a virus or trojan.  How does the OS decide its blank, does it
read a certain area which must be written if the disc is not blank if
the disc is packet written, multisession, or disc at once.  Or is

I want a portable book size data cd reader(not a laptop.)  You put in a
cd with html document files and can read the words on a screen.   It
wouldn't have internet, wouldn't show photos, or play music and would
read only.  Is there such a thing?  Thanks.

After that I insert the CD. WindowsXP opens it and displays a window

About six months ago I built an Intel Core 2 Duo Vista system with a
LiteOn LH-20A1H1 DVD Writer and purchased a full version of Nero 7 Ultra
Edition Enhanced.  I've burn numerous CDR's, both data and music,

I need the clear dummy cd discs, and either the foam or solid plastic
rings that go at the top of a stack of cdr's.
where do I find this stuff?  and by what names do they call them?  I
know they are not called stacking rings, because that is a feature of

Am trying to prepare a memtest 86-3.4 iso file, which I guess is supposed to
be bootable. I run the .iso file through the burn program at lowest
available speed, 16X (2400KBs). I get a disk which win explorer shows as
memtest.iso. Contents if any of the iso aren't there; 'puter ...

But by installing Nero 8 2 window came up
First window (this application has failed to start because gccore.dll
was not found. Re installing the application my fix it.)
Second window (unable to register c:\program files\common files\lib
