Toshiba internal CD-rom drive has suddenly stopped recognising CDR-W disks31 Dec 2006 02:38 GMT1
I have a Toshiba Satellite 1800-314 laptop, and it's built-in CR-rom
drive recognises CDR disks and also recognises pre-recorded CDs, but
has suddenly stopped recognising CDR-W disks. When I put a CDR-W in nad

I have a Pioneer DVR 106D dual format DVD writer, which is about 3 years
old now and it has written about 100 media dvd's and about 10/12 data dvd's.
All the media and most of the data dvd's are the +R format, and I have about
2/3 -R format.

I was able to access and use a particular data CD-R on my Compaq
notebook. It was burnt on a different computer. It was readable in

I notice on some retailers' websites that sometimes these kits are
described as combo drives, sometimes as just dvd writers/rewriters, but

Hey I have a plexwriter 8/4/32a and I am having issues with burning
with cd-rw disks, I can burn no problem with cd-r but not cd-rw. does
anyone know how to fix this little issue.  I have windows XP and use

Can anyone please give me some advice. I have an old copy of Cool Edit
that I purchased years ago. I have some audio tapes that I wish to

I have recently seen a (to me) new type of Verbatim CD-R in cakebox.
It does not contain the words Datalife, Datalife Plus of Super-Azo,
is made in Japan, not India or China. The reorder number is 43351 vs.
43343 for the Datalife Plus Made in India.
