Heard cautions about upgrading from last Nero 6 to Nero 7 after I bought 7.
I have the latest download 7.2.0.3b, I think.  Is it safe yet?  Is
NeroVision worth installing?  Are there other elements to avoid?

    I'd like to be able to install a DVD-RW drive in my old 550 Mhz
Dell computer (running Win98SE).  Are there DVD-RW drives and software
that will work well in such a machine, or is DVD data density inherently
too much for slower processors?  Most such drives I have seen in stores ...

I use Nero 6 & Burrrn.
Nero will burn a CUE file going up against an Album.FLAC using the
FLAC plugin without the need to decompress the Album.FLAC file first.
It can also burn individual Song.FLAC files.

I remember being in a Wherehouse record store in August of 1985, and

I have a primary IDE connected to a HD primary and DVD WR slave.
And a secondary IDE connected to a DVD.
I want to add a second HD.
Looking at the cables I can see they are not long enough.

Well, my cd drive is a combo and can read cd-r,rw and dvds but now it
can only read cd-rw!?
Its pretty weird and i dont know wat to do :crybaby:

Have you ever heard a rumor that after burning a music or data CDR that
you should wait for a period of time (usually like between 5 - 15
minutes) before playing it or reading data (or exposing it to any type
of laser) in order to give the "newly burned" ink dyes time to "settle

Seems Pioneer brand (my DVD writer that has been ultra-reliable for 3
years) is getting knocked in reviews now.
Is there a consensus of which brand and model is reliable and you would

I ran into some problems with DirectCD installed on a w2k pro machine.
I lost the cdrom drive.   I was able to get the program deleted get the
drive working again. Problem now is the computer will not shut down.

I'm relatively new to the art of burning CD's, and I just tried to
burn some html files using Nero 6. I thought this would be a simple
thing, but I get the message "unsupported file format."
Would someone be kind enough to tell me how to do this.

it seems that i somehow formatted a DVD into a CD format and now it
wont even register as there being anything in the drive. i was trying
to format my DVD rw by using nero that came with the comp, and i asumed
that erase cd ment it would work for DVD cds aswell. it took longer

I recently purchased a 100-pack of TY 8x DVD-R white printable from
Supermediastore.  How do I know that what I bought is really Taiyo Yuden?
The imprint on the clear plastic inner hub is LM534Y107097GG.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
