Apologies if this has been covered before (I *have* looked!). I have a new PC running WinXP Home SP2. Nero v 6.3.1.26 was preloaded with the AOpen DVD-RW/CD-RW drive installed in the machine.

Recently I have problem with burning CD at higher speed. My CD writer is 48X. When I try to burn at even 40X, buffer goes to 100% and burning stops at 5-7%. I wait 2-3 minutes and nothing happens. I even have to turn of comp because writer is not responding.

I am having hard time using XP's burn feature. It seems to say in the XP documentation that all you do is to enable it by putting the check mark in the square in properties in Windows Explorer which I have done and then you drag and drop or highlight and go to FILE COPY and

Is it possible to make an audio CD longer than 74 mins with a standard CD-R? Ive been wondering...as a standard CD holds approx 650-700Mb, if i record at lower res than CD quality = less space so does it correlate that I can then put more recorded material onto a CD. I suspect not ...

For some reason I cannot play CD-Rs burned on my CD burner in our DVD player which supports multiple formats (DVD, VCD, Audio CD, MP3, etc). The CDs will play in our very basic portable stereo but the DVD player reports a disk error.

in my nero cdspeed tool, an audio cd check reveals about 1500 c1 errors and 0 c2 errors. I downloaded and tried cd/dvd Diagnostic by infinidyne and its analysis says there are 200,000 plus 'soft errors' and no hard errors.

I have my DVD burner set as master and DVD reader as slave. Any problems with swapping this around as I'd prefer to boot from the reader drive and then I'd have access to a burner in BartPE. I assume you can't boot from a slave CD drive.
