Can different brands of CD burning software (e.g. Nero, Roxio) peacefully
co-exist on a single system (Win98SE), or do I need to uninstall one to try
the other.

I've been reading on the dvd drives that they need 800mhz or above.
All I want to do is burn six 650 meg ghost images to the disk for
achiving.  Will my 550mhz work or will I have problems?

I think scratching the inner ring where the index is kept is the easiest way
short of breaking them in half !

Are they making Serial ATA burners ?

I've just set up my pc with win2k SP4 and when it boots up the Liteonit
cdwriter is showing as new hardware found. But windows doesn't find the
drivers and there are not supplied with the unit , just Nero comes with it.
How is the best way to install the drive? Liteonit website just ...

The box for the LG GCE-8525B Re-writer (52x-32x-52x) lists the minimum CPU
speed as 350 Mhz with 500 Mhz recommended for writing.
