Now that they are getting in the "affordable" range, I would like to add a
DVD burner to my system.
I currently have, and am very pleased with , a LiteOn 52X CDRW.
Are the LiteOn DVD burners as good as their CD burners?

I am using Nero Version 5.5.10.35 TDK.
When attempting to burn a video on a CD, I sometimes get an error
message like, "The XXX.mpg file is not a valid file for creating a
standard Video CD Disk, etc."  I then get a choice of:

I've been burning CD-ROM for quite a while now and it works wonderfull.
Last week I tried to use CD RW and but I can't use them.  Every time I try
to format it, or copy file directly to the CD RW my software stalls (famous
blue screen).

Just a note in hopes it may be helpful to other beginners who want to make
CDs.
I'm an old geezer who doesn't know beans about CD making.  First, I  had to
learn how to download music.  To do that, I asked the experts, and got some

Bought Dido's new Life for Rent CD (BMG Music) today and want to copy it for
the car/as a back-up, but it's copy protected. Well I tried Nero (5.5.x) and
sure enough it couldn't even read the CD correctly.
Anyhow I've got Music Match and copied the tracks of the CD as Wav. files

What is the best source for information on who makes the current
supply of each brand of CD-R and CD-RW blank media? I.e., if I go to
my local Best Buy to get a new batch of Fuji 48x CD-Rs, how can I find
out ahead of time who made them for Fuji? Thanks!

I have this problem with CDRW where in i am not able to format it.
I want to add new files to it, but i am not able to format it.
I tried to erase it from XP, adaptec. it just won't work.

I recently installed a DVD burner and it has been giving me grief in Windows
explorer. I cannot read a CD or DVD disk in explorer. It, however has no
issues when I use it to write to a DVDr or a CDr when I use a program like
Disk Juggler or Alcohol 120%..... I just cannot read from ...

I can't chose a particular song to play.

I am considering purchasing a DVD burner.  Looking at the specs in
general it appears that a DVD will burn CDs too
As I already have a CD burner does this mean that i will end up with 2
cd burners?  Will there be an conflicts?

Is it possible to convert Real Media Files into audio files that can be
burnt to a cd, for use on a household player?
