I like to backup all my originals and only use the copy. This one is tough.

I have a problem when ripping songs from my CDs to my hard drive.  My
PC is a fairly old Win98 machine with a Pentium III 550Mhz processor
and 128Mb RAM.  I have a 48x cdrom and a 6x4x32 cdrw.
When I try to rip a song from a CD, I end up with a file on the PC

I have a monaural tape deck with some tapes I would like to somehow
get on my computer hard drive then burn to a CD.  I was told to get a
cable that has plugs on each end, one to go into the earphone plug on
the tape deck and the other end into the mic input on the sound card.

knowledgeable computer user, but just can't get this .   I have tried to
download the manual but continually get an "unable to connect to server"

Just thought I could pull the .iso and do
an MD5 sum on both the pre burn and post burn to see

when using Slysoft anydvd v2 what is the best DVD copying software to use to
make backups to VCD or SVCD. The apps i have tried (instant CD/DVD 8, No1
DVD Ripper, Super DVD Ripper 1.9) all seem to have problems....when Anydvd
is running. I assume that I do not need a ripping program ...

I was running Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator 6 on Windows XP Pro and was
getting a lot of CRC errors from data files written by the software on
DVD-R.  I didn't get such errors using RecordNow and Nero.  My drive
is a Sony DRU510-A.

I have downloaded software and it has .img files which i can burn with
nero to CD. how do i burn .sub and .ccd files? when i burn all i get
is a file called 'image'?
