Epson Color Laser C1100 Magenta Bands27 Feb 2010 17:52 GMT-
On colour prints I am getting fuzzy, not sharp, magenta bands of
varying widths. They are on A4 and go across the 21 cm length, ie left
to right across a portrait page. The whole image is there but covered
by these parallel bands of varying widths and varying distances apart.
Dealing with Hewlett Packard27 Feb 2010 00:06 GMT18
Can someone give me some information as to how to deal with HP.
Possibly I have been a bit gullible but that doesn't support what has
happened.
I had a Deskjet 6520 printer which had the wrong carts in it. HP told
canon i550 partial print26 Feb 2010 21:22 GMT1
We've got a canon bj i550 printer. On the test page (win xp) it prints the
windows logo in color but nothing else. It prints the head alignment
patterns ok but won't print documents. It's reporting that the ink levels
are low in everything but black. It tried setting it so that ...
gluing or repairing plastic bits on HPLJ26 Feb 2010 02:59 GMT7
Several small plastic parts on the shell of my HPLJ5P have snapped
off.
Things like locking tabs and catches. I have a bit of bent wire to
hold the rear door closed now ... inelegant but working.

I cannot find any way of getting that info from the ROM or wherever, no
buttons at all on this printer.

Best paper value21 Feb 2010 19:57 GMT6
I've seen some discussions here before on which is the best photo paper
for this or that, and some of them have been quite interesting. But
let's face it - there are a lot of printers that never print so much as
a single photo. These printers, both inkjet and laser, usually print ...
User Defined Labels21 Feb 2010 14:09 GMT10
Do you know of a program which allows the user to specify his own
label sizes?  I'd like to be able to open it up and specify the label
size and the size of the backer sheet and then mail merge my info into
it.  Word and Publisher don't present the label and sheet size I have
HPLJ 5P can't pick up paper21 Feb 2010 14:03 GMT5
My HPLJ 5P has worked reliably for years, but recently it fails to
pick up paper.
It makes the usual clicks and other sounds till after a few seconds
when the paper should start moving there is a rubbery squeal and the
Win98-compatible Printer driver needed for HL-2150N20 Feb 2010 09:24 GMT9
The HL-2150N is not supported for pre-XP versions of Windows but someone
somewhere may be able to wink and nod and say: ' Try ....'. If he's reading
this I would be very grateful for any suggestions.
HP Desket 970 paper feed17 Feb 2010 20:44 GMT6
I have an HP Deskjet 970 which works just fine ... except for one thing.
It keeps picking up two sheets at a time from the paper stack. It does
this so often that I have to stand there, feeding in one sheet at a
time, which really slows down printing - I can't leave it unattended ...

Grey line down the page12 Feb 2010 19:03 GMT-
I've been using this Xerox Docuprint P 12 for years and have collected
spare toner cartridge assemblies when they have been available. I
believe it's similar to a LaserJet II.
It has started printing a grey line about1/2inch wide down every page,
Which type of printer keeps the print well fixed even if you touch it with water.12 Feb 2010 11:12 GMT9
Currently I have a HP6100 printer but the ink is not "fixed", if I touch the
paper with wet hands or water/coffee is falling on it it becomes unreadable.
Can you recomment, except an expensive laser) which type of printer does not
have such problems ?
