Is it ok in a Inkjet printer to have lets say OEM Black, OEM Cyan, OEM Magenta and GENERIC Yellow together? In other words, if you switch to generic, do you have to switch ALL the OEM to generic at the same time or one by one as each individual OEM cartridge

I have a two year-old Canon i9900 printer. Recently, I am getting lots of vertical streaks. I cleaned and dried printhead thoroughly. I am still getting streaks all over the print.

IWhen I run a print nozzle test on my iP6000D you get a series of 10 lines printed out. In addition to 6BK (black) and 6Y (yellow) you get 4 pairs of lines labeled 6C, 6M, 6PC and 6PM. In my case the second 6C line (which is supposed to be a lighter version of the first 6C line)
