I have an HP printer, probably bought in 2001 or so. I think it's a 940c. It's been a nice printer, but I am about to need to replace both the black and the tricolor cartridges and realize I could probably get a new printer for just a bit more than those cartridges

Samsung ML-2250/2251N because of faulty power supply the fuser is melted. The heat and pressure roller are melted so the whole fuser and supply bord must be replaced. Does anyone know what parts on power suppy bord are faulty so they can be replaced not the whole board.

Have decided to forgo the colour laser route for photo printing, and go for ink jet instead . Both these printers have had good reviews, and both can print direct from memory cards which is a plus.

This is a link to a short article with Henry Wilhelm. The tests were obviously sponsored by Epson, so you can take them at whatever value you wish. I would tend to think they are accurate within the context of the inks which were selected.
