LJ 5si - Page count, grey bars and thick ink.01 Apr 2007 00:01 GMT5
I bought a Laserjet 5si for $100. It has less than 2000 page count.How
could I go wrong? Well now I've got a 100lb monster in my kitchen and
I don't know if I could get the trashman to take it.
I've got a few questions.
Can you use PIGMENTED inks in a R200 by either refilling or continuous ink systems?31 Mar 2007 16:41 GMT38
I'm new the EPSON... I've been a looong time HP user. I recently got an
Epson R200 because I wanted to print onto DVDRs.  I'm in the market for a
continuous ink system for my R200 now... and one of the questions I had was
can I use Pigmented inks in a CIS or by refilling the carts ...

Why31 Mar 2007 14:47 GMT17
I wonder why there have been so many posts about problems with HP
printers?  Epson seems to hold down second place.  It seems that Canon
has the fewest problem posts except for refill problems which seem to
captivate all brands.

HP 1200 25 pin to Netgear PS10130 Mar 2007 01:58 GMT8
I recently obtained a Netgear PS101 to use with
my old HP 1200 and found to my dismay that the
connectors do not match.  The HP has a 25 pin
male connector, and the Netgear has a 36 pin
Is there a way to recycle old/used HP Deskjet pritners?29 Mar 2007 20:30 GMT6
I am the technology manager for a company and we toss out countless HP
deskjet printers because something will break on them and the repair
ends up costing more than buying a new printer.
I hold onto these printers thinking that one day Ill have tome to fix
Epson non-OEM ink nags: Research29 Mar 2007 08:22 GMT18
My Epson SP1280 and my Epson SP900 recently began behaving badly.  For a
couple of years, I've been using G&G cartridges.  No problems.  Love 'em.
Perfect prints.  Few clogs.  Epson driver would nag about non-OEM only
prior to the first print after changing a cartridge.  I could ...
HP color 5500dn issue29 Mar 2007 02:52 GMT1
I have a very tempermental HP 5500dn printer. If a graphic confuses
it, it stops printing all together. When this happens, I have to clear
every print job and turn it off for an hour or so until it gets happy
again, then it prints fine till the next time.
Epson r340 Printhead removal29 Mar 2007 00:46 GMT11
I am getting streaking in my black and I have cleaned the printhead
half a dozen times with no improvement. I the past with my Canon
printer I would take out the carts and lift a lever that would allow
me to remove the printhead where I could soak it in ammonia and water

Does anyone know of any Mac compatible software that allows double
sided printing with the CORRECT PAGE LAYOUT ie. (in an 8pp document it
prints p8 opposite p1; p7 opposite p2; p6 opposite p3, etc).
I can do it in Corel Draw 10 but it is not very stable.

I have small question.
I have an old accounting program and need to print from DOS to HP
LaserJet 1300 in 3 copies. The program itself doesn't have the option
to configure that.

Epson chips28 Mar 2007 07:45 GMT9
The answer to this may be obvious but I can't see it!!
Conventional wisdom states that the Epson Ink Monitor works by counting
the number of times it spits ink at the paper and calculates the amount
of ink left in the cartridge. I have never seen this challenged on this
