Refillable printer brands and models31 Jan 2007 19:11 GMT4
I'm in the market for a new bubble jet or similar printer and want to
ensure that I buy a model that allows me to refill the cartridges.
I understand that some manufacturers put smart chips into their
cartridges to prevent refilling, so I'd like to steer clear of these

Epson Stylus R380: Claria ink easily smearing on printable DVD-Rs30 Jan 2007 23:45 GMT2
I just bought an Epson Stylus R380, and I'm disappointed with it. I got
it almost exclusively for use with printable DVDs. The quality is
excellent, better than with my old R340. I also have to admit that,
when printing on paper, the Claria ink is highly resistant. However,
HP Laserjet "Powersave" mode.30 Jan 2007 23:14 GMT6
I stuck a power meter on my Laserjet 4000 yesterday.  The HP specs are
accurate and sure enough it sits at about 30watts when idle and up to
about 600 when printing.
What surprised me, however, was that there was seemingly no difference
HP-2575/2610 color cartridges?30 Jan 2007 22:04 GMT7
I have an HP-2575 printer. It came with a #95 color cartridge. My friend
has the HP-2610 which can use either a #95 or #97 color cartridge. The
#97 holds twice as much ink as the #95. Could I use the #97 in my 2575?
Thanks

wondered whether there was any known performance or function advantages from

We have just bought an HP P2015N printer and are sending print to it
directly from DOS in the form of PCL6 code. The software was written
for an old HP Laserjet which only had a manual feed tray and a sheet
feed bin but we where able to get it to select the bin we required.
