I have seen many sites on ebay selling compatible cartridges for ip4200 printers - with the proviso that you still need the oem chip to make it work and you physically have to extract the chip yourself and stick it on the compat cart.

| Ink compatibility between MP730 and ip4200 (Canon) | 27 Jun 2006 20:46 GMT | 10 |
I've asked this question of re-inks.com, but I got a vague response, as though they'd rather sell me new sets of ink. I have quite a bit of ink left for my Canon MP730nk, which I'd like to use in my new ip4200. The re-inks.com catalog numbers are different, but I was

When I refill inkjet cartridges, usually Lexmark 26,27 & 18,19, I don't glue or tape the top back on because it fits in place okay without that. Is this what the rest of you do? It seems If I don't use the printer for a few days, the cartridges

I think I'm going to stick to pre-filled cartridges from now on. I'm covered in blue and yellow ink! *lol* (I'm sure if you get the hang of it it's fine, but it was all a bit too messy for me...) Lucky my desk doesn't seem to stain easily - pity I can't say the same about my ...

| Question about the Canon iP4200 black ink tanks | 25 Jun 2006 16:07 GMT | 5 |
What's the difference (other than capacity) between the CLI-8BK and the PGI-5BK? They both need to be installed, but AFAIK they're both the same black ink. Is the smaller tank used for photo prints, and the larger one for text?

| Epson Photo 700 Head Autopsy: Bleeding Nozzle | 25 Jun 2006 12:08 GMT | 2 |
OK. My Epson Photo 700 finally bit the dust -- for good. Probably a blessing. Stopped jetting ink completely after long period of no use. I tried Windex on the pad. No dice. I opened the hood and pulled the head. What I saw puzzled me. There was a drop of ink almost hanging off the ...
