This is not my printer I'm talking about, and it's not in front of
me, so troubleshooting it is problematic. But the printer's owner
called for advice, and I'm in turn asking the good people here.
The OS is Windows XP Pro.

model just for this purpose. No pay 200 bucks plus.

I had recently found myself in a similar situation. This is where a

I bought a Citoh EZ-4PS thermal label printer years ago and used it
without any problem under Windows 98. Now I have a new PC with Windows
XP, and I can't find a proper driver on the web. I found a few drivers
but none work properly.

The HP site lists a bunch of drivers, but doesn't
seem to answer the question of whether earlier drivers
will work.

The local Cartridge World shop wants $12.50 to refill a BCI-24C
(Canon retail is $18).
But I see that Supermediastore sells their replacement for the 24C
