Can't we all just get along?

Auto-reset chips... supplier sought02 Feb 2006 18:13 GMT10
Hey folks..
Given that I'm getting more and more confident with my CIS skills I'm
now in a position that I want to start creating my own kits. It's taken
me somewhere in the region of 3 months to figure out which parts I need
Compatible and original cartridges02 Feb 2006 15:35 GMT7
Hi, all!
I am currently exploring the issue of preferences: original consumables
vs. compatible ones. Can you give me your opinion on that matter as
well as reasons? It is just for the scientific purpose.
Lanier printer and faxes02 Feb 2006 13:52 GMT1
I was hoping someone has had some experience with Lanier printers
specifically the LD238. What I want to be able to do is allow users to
send faxes through it from their computers. I tried going to Lanier's
website looking for some info, but couldn't even find the manual for
Canon A3 printer?02 Feb 2006 06:19 GMT6
I currently have Canon ip4000 and impressed by it.
I'd like to also print A3 size papers but does anon have a model available that

page count - hp 4050N motherboard got replaced. is it 'on' the MoBo, or elsewhere?02 Feb 2006 04:47 GMT3
I just got a 'pig in a poke' hp 4050N (it'd been out in the rain),
cleaned it all up, bought a "nice used" ebay toner, and replaced the
motherboard (with an 'e-bay used one') and now 'everything's A-ok' :-)
first thing I print a test page, and got a page count, but, it occurs to ...
Epson dot-matrix printer02 Feb 2006 02:23 GMT5
I upgraded my Microsoft Office 2000 to XP. Thereafter, everytime I
print to Epson LQ-300+ becomes differently. The font size become
smaller. The interesting thing is that when I print this document on
all other printers, it behaves as usual.
Printer modification..?02 Feb 2006 00:33 GMT8
I wonder if a printer could be modified to print  directly on 'copper
clad boards' for making printed circuits, whether laser or
bubblejet?
Obviously the ink would have to be resistant to the etching fluid and

Canon chipped cartridges and rebuilts01 Feb 2006 17:12 GMT3
the latest Paperworld fare (Frankfurt, Germany, 25th-29th January) has
shown once again that the 3rd party manufactures are not yet able to
build compatible cartridges.
One of them (Pelikan) claimed that a super computer would need around 10
HISTORY01 Feb 2006 16:53 GMT6
My first printer was a STAR dot-matrix printer.
At the time, I was publishing a multi-page newsletter.
I can remember loading a box of fan-fold paper,
starting the print, and going out to lunch.
HP 2600n Dream Machine01 Feb 2006 02:33 GMT7
For years I have dreamed of owning a color laser printer and now I have one,
the Hp 2600n $400. Since I live full time in a motorhome, size mattered most
in making my decision. I wish it was smaller, but at least it fits in.
My first impressions are WOW! Fast sharp COLOR! Not as ...
