My question is I want to store the printer for about 8 months.Can the
carts be taken out and the heads be cleaned like it was when it was new.
I just use the printer for printing cds/dvds.I really like this printer
for printing on cds it does a great job.If anyone knows how to ...

i'm looking for some advice,
a friend of mine recently gave me  this print server  as his work was
throwing it out.what he sadly couldnt tell me is how you use the thing or

The printer only prints the yellow colour and black.
The test print shows in place of  the colour bars just yellow, but oddly
each yellow bar stops at different places across the page! The ends of the
yellow lines form a diagonal but obviously as the colours should be the same

I buy a Canon IP4000 for $50 after rebates. I have the option to refill or
use OEM.
The carts cost $12 each, I go through 4 black pigment carts and 8 carts of
each color. So 4 x $12 = $48 and 4 x $12 x 8 = $384
