Thanks to a basement flood, many of my negatives are stuck to the
transparent negative-holding pages I kept them in.  How can i
extricate, clean, and scan them with minimum harm to the image?

I have a number of slides and negatives that have been badly affected
by mold.  Scanning them in will effectively arrest the rot, but...
 1. How do I clean my scanner (Nikon Coolscan V ED) afterwards to
    ensure that subsequent images aren't affected?

Has anyone used this product before? Can I check what is the quality of the
scanned image as compared with traditional scanners? Does the software auto
remove scratches and red-tint from old films? Thanks in advance.

Hi, all
I have some old (about 20 years) 35 mm negatives, which are kind of curled
along the axis.  Any ideas on how to flatten them before feeding them into
the scanner?  I've tried putting them under a stack of books for a few days,
