OK...negative overclocking potentially, just to keep this on topic! If you've read some of my other posts, you'll know that during the course of this year, I've replaced just about every part of my PC. I had a few spares as a result, so I've decided to put them to use as a home

Does anyone have any idea when the Q9450s are likely to hit the UK in anything like decent quantities, so that end consumers can get them? I've trawled the web so many times, but never really find anything conclusive. It's interesting to note that the Extreme version of this chip

| 9850 and M3N-HT Deluxe | 10 May 2008 16:18 GMT | 1 |
So far this combo seems to work good with the shipped BIOS. Been a few days since I bought them and haven't had any problems. I'm using 2-way SLI and playing Crysis and LOTRO at 1680x1050. Haven't overclocked the CPU yet. Do have the GPU's OC'd a wee bit. Want to wait a week or ...

| Accurate CPU temp monitor? | 07 May 2008 01:37 GMT | 7 |
Up until today I've always considered CoreTemp to be the most accurate for reading my E4500's (@3.2GHz currently) temperature. It agrees with Intel's TAT on temps across the range from idle to 100% load, give or take a degree. However, while working on a mate's Phenom I downloaded ...

| RMA-ing Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 | 04 May 2008 19:30 GMT | 7 |
Had enough...this board is going back. After lots of grief, I've determined that it's suffering from the 4 sticks of RAM issue. It was an expensive board, so I expect much better. I don't want to have to do loads of tweaking just to get it to work on spec!
