I always get the best info here.
I've got a Phenom 9500 machine here for a couple days. A mate bought it as a
'gaming machine' but with no anti-virus installed it only took a few weeks
to become unusable. I've built and set up all his machine's previously so

Just built this Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L with E4500, stock cooler, Corsai
2X2048-6400C4, evga 8600GT. Coolmaster RP-550-PCAR PSU and CLite 33
case. Booted right up and all was well till I noticed in CPU was onl
running 1.8Ghz.

My motherboard died and I am looking to upgrade and replace it and the
CPU.  I want to use a quad core cpu and don't really understand the
difference between the "Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping (2.4GHz
1066MHz)" and the lower power version "Core 2 Quad Q6600 Energy

I've recently bought a new mobo (Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6), along with 4GB of new
RAM (Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500). I've also replaced my PSU, with a
Coolermaster RealPower M700, as that was potentially causing me issues, as

To make a long story short. After swapping my 89 watt opteron 148
(single core 2200mhz) for a 110 watt opteron 180 (duel core 2400mhz)
my computer no longer responds to the start button on my case. The
system started normally after the BIOS updates needed for dual core

I have two systems both have abit IP35 Pro MB's and both have 2 GB of
Corsair DDR2 800 (TWIN2X2048-6400C4) memory.  The memory is set to 2.1v and
4-4-4-12 2T on both systems.  The E6750 system is running at 3.2 or 400 FSB.
I made the change day 1 and it has never had a problem - ...
