OC on E2160, possible without tuning vcore?30 Jan 2008 12:53 GMT5
I've heard this is possible - major doubt is: will it affect stability?
Based on the fact that new Penryn 45nm CPUs will start to have
reasonable pricing around the end of the year (or, though, not before
this summer) for the meantime I've decided to go for a cheap CPU with

Is Speedfan accurate?26 Jan 2008 07:46 GMT3
According to the latest version of Speedfan, the temp of my Q6600 (G0) is
around 21C and goes up to 25C under load. I'm not sure if the temp is
accurate. Isn't it too low?
I installed the same version on my 2nd PC which has an E6400 and Speedfan

GA-P35--DS3L how vary fan by CPU case temp?24 Jan 2008 20:41 GMT13
Playing with the little 1.6g until tomorrow, but noticing that EasyTune
does a right fine job of varying the cpu fan speed per the "cpu" temp which
is Winbond IT8718F temp2 per spedfan 4.33final.  cputemp/casetemp is 56C
per "coretemp 0.96" (Freezer7).  I do wish I could vary it per ...

Safe or not?23 Jan 2008 01:27 GMT4
I have an AMD 64 LE-1620 2.4GHz Processor, and it's my first time
messing around with over clocking. I played around with the FSB and
voltage a little bit, and was able to get my system to stay stable at
3.01GHz using a FSB of 250x12, and 1.375 volts. The problem is that

Tell what to upgrade to OverClock, upgrading soon!!20 Jan 2008 06:35 GMT2
I've been lost for a while and have not been albe to keep up with
trends. My computer has been rebooting for no reason lately, I think
it's the m/b or Windows trying to con people into upgrading to Vista.
I"m considering just buying a NEW DELL for around $800, but I think
Does Overclocking result in higher temps than...20 Jan 2008 00:11 GMT2
Does overclocking a slower CPU result in higher temps than the speed
equivalent for a non-overclocked faster CPU?
sonic tower installation18 Jan 2008 19:10 GMT8
I'm missing one detail about Thermaltake Sonic Tower installation:
My motherboard (LGA775) has four holes around the processor for putting the
screws in them but they are too wide for Sonic Tower's screws and they do
not have threads.

I am looking to overclock my laptop which has a Pentium-M "Dothan" core
as the CPU.  I spoke with another individual who performed the overclocking
mod on exactly the same model of laptop that I have.  He talked about the
CPU overheating a lot because the heatsink was ...
Quick estimate of power required?15 Jan 2008 05:29 GMT4
Is there a web site showing how to quickly estimate power supply wattage
needed?
I want to build a quad core Q6600 based PC overclocked to about 3GHz, with 3

New AM2 LE1600 cpu performance?12 Jan 2008 09:13 GMT6
Hey does anyone have one of these yet? I'm interested in how they perform
and how good they are for over clocking, cos if they're any good I wouldn't
mind using them in a couple of low budget pc's. So far I can't find any
benchmarks...
