| Core 2 Duo Pricing | 30 Sep 2007 11:35 GMT | 1 |
Not exactly an overclocking question, but possibly related to overclockability (if there is such a word). I just noticed what seems to be a strange pricing aberration on both MWave and Newegg, so it's consistent.

| Asus P5K Deluxe Wifi or Asus Blitz Formula? | 26 Sep 2007 21:14 GMT | 8 |
While finally close to rock stable my latest upgrade/rebuild hasn't gone too well and am coming to the conclusion my P5N32-E SLI may be to blame (almost everything else has been swapped/replaced or removed). Anyhow... Components are :-

| Experience with Q6600 OC | 22 Sep 2007 14:52 GMT | 7 |
I took my E6600 out yesterday for my son's build and installed the Q6600. I took it right to 3Ghz on stock voltage (1.24v). It was very stable there so I went right up to 3.3 and had to raise the Vcore to 1.3v. This is where it got interesting. Going above 3.3Ghz the chip started ...

Ok, this is my first time overclocking anything when it comes t computer components. However, I built this computer to be overclocke (This is why I bought water cooling). I chose this water cooler becaus of a review I read on TechPowerUp.com.

I have a greenhouse which gets very hot during the day and gets very cold at night. I have an idea to fill some plastic drinks bottles with a phase change material, paint them matt black and stack them in the greenhouse and so even the temperature throughout the 24 hours.

| amd quad core versus intel? | 13 Sep 2007 13:06 GMT | 6 |
amd announced quad core on one chip. In theory this should be more efficient than 2-chip quad core like intel's. It'd probably be a few months before anybody could get one to do a review/comparison. But obviously AMD itself and maybe some mobo makers must

| What's the diff between these two CPU's? | 13 Sep 2007 02:58 GMT | 1 |
I was looking at Intel Quad core CPU's and was wondering what the real difference is. other than one being Xeon, which I thought was supperior, the specs look the same and the price about the same. Also which one would be better for overclocking?

| mobo for Q6600? | 09 Sep 2007 15:23 GMT | 1 |
What's a good mobo for overclocking core 2 quad Q6600, using DDR2 ram? Is there any advantage using P35 based board? This is for video editing/encoding. So any type of video slot is ok (AGP PCI-E....).

| Worth upgrading a 2100+ T'bred to a 3000+ Barton? | 09 Sep 2007 15:09 GMT | 4 |
I'm planning on giving my old PC to my dad. It's an Athlon 2100+ (oc'd to 2.1g) with 1 gig of pc3200 DDR Ram. My motherboard can do 400mhz fsb, but the 2100 can only do 266mhz (and I think it only has 256 L2 cache). Would a 3000+ or 3200+ Barton see enough of a speed increase ...

| reluctant overclocker considering C2D E6600 | 07 Sep 2007 07:09 GMT | 7 |
I was looking to put together a C2D box, with no thought of overclocking, when I noticed the E6600 was slightly more expensive than the E6750. I figured that must be because the E6600 is easily OCable, and some googling and reading here confirm it. So I find myself in the
