Probs w Core 2 Duo 6600 on P5B30 Dec 2006 02:30 GMT1
On my Asus P5B (no deluxe) board I cannot get my E6600 any higher than
2900 MHz (323 x 9).
If I increase the FSB anymore, the system won't even post.
Vcore is at 1.275 but even increasing it to 1.5 won't help.
MB choice for C2D29 Dec 2006 04:26 GMT1
I had been waiting for RD600 for several reasons which now no longer
apply* but given that the reasons are no longer relevant, the current
price and persistent non-appearance I've given over waiting and decided
to go for a 975X based solution.

Now, how should I set the CPU voltage to overclock the CPU to 2400Mhz?
Using default voltage and FSB of just 225Mhz, the board beeped with 1

It seems to be a hoax, judging from the fact that the die didn't
shatter, but is it possible for this to actually happen? If I were to

I have a 6 or 9 month old PC based on socket 754 and Semprom 2800 with
a good overclocking motherboard.
When would be the best time to upgrade the chip to a faster one? I.e.
in a year is it likely I could buy a Sempron 4500 for 40 quid? Or will
AMD fans14 Dec 2006 20:04 GMT5
I'm replacing my Palomino with a Barton CPU; the chip itself on the
Palomino is square, while the Barton is rectangular. I believe my
current fan came with the Palomino CPU, so it has a square pad
underneath. Will the fan work for the Barton too, or am I better off
