P4 SL6RZ  2.4 : Which MB?29 Nov 2006 22:45 GMT9
Someone gave me a P4 and I need a good OC MB for it.  I read on
O'clockers.com database that this chip has potential. Because it's a few
years old, I don't know what is the proper MB for it, only that it is socket
478.  Here are the specs:
AMD processor serial numbers29 Nov 2006 18:41 GMT2
Maybe it's undocumented, but bearing in mind every AMD processor now
has a unique serial number printed on it, does anyone know if it's
possible to read the serial number using software, sort of like the PSN
in Pentium IIIs?
CPU Quiet Fan on AliveNF4G29 Nov 2006 09:25 GMT1
I'm thinking of building a system with this MB using the retail fan.
In the user manual the CPU fan header has 4 pins
GND, +12v, CPU_FAN_SPEED and FAN_SPEED_CONTROL.
My memory of the retail fans (supplied with CPU by AMD) is that they

which ram to Conroe overclock?26 Nov 2006 23:30 GMT6
I'm receivin a E6300 Core 2 Duo ans an ASUS P5B next week.
How fast does the ram have to be to reach modest (not high because I don't
want a very noisy cooling setup) overclocking results.
Can I pick up som cheap G.Skill PC5400 ram or does it have to be PC6400 ?

overclock core2duo with DDR1 memory?23 Nov 2006 04:37 GMT3
I just bought a core 2 duo 1.86 with a board by ECS that allows you to use
DDR1 and AGP (for us poor bastards that can't afford new memory and video
cards) and I know this is supposed to be a great overclocker, I am sure
however I am limited with overclocking by my memory.(but I ...

Intel Core 2 Duo OC?22 Nov 2006 15:44 GMT14
I'm looking into building a new core 2 duo system and read a great review on
the 6400 OC'd to 3.1 with stock cooling.  How does the 6300 and the others
do?  Is the 6400 the new sweet spot, bang for the bucker for right now?

Fastest AM2 MB with 590 chipset19 Nov 2006 07:29 GMT1
I'm about to purchase a new AM2 MB and CPU. The CPU i'm getting is the
DC 4600+, and i'm thinking of the Foxconn C51XEM2AA-8KERS2H NF590 SLI MB. Is
this motherboard good for overclocking and performance? Or should I look at
the ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe?
