Have been taking a look at the AM2 processors. What's the big deal? Is there a major performance jump for AM2 chips? Clock speeds are roughly the same. Architecture isn't that much different. DDR2 is no advantage, is it?

I'm thinking of buying a Sempron 64bit 2800+. The motherboard I'll be buying for it is the ASUS K8V-X SE. What kind of overclock can I expect with this setup? I'm only familiar with overclocking AMD XP type CPUs. What settings should I use?

I have 2, 120mm fans cooling my sytem. One fan is weaker than the other. Should the weaker fan be in the front intake or the rear exhaust? Thanks.
