Can't raise FSB over 240Mhz, system won't boot, message HDD read error! Any
way to fix this instead of replacing HDD? I can't get optimal memory and
CPU settings because of that. Please help!

I've got the manual and to say it's sketchy is an understatement. It doesn't
advise where to start, what figures to input or what other values to change.

I have to Asus A8N-Sli with the 1011 bios version and a Winchester 3000+ CPU
with PC3200 memory. I used to have this computer overclocked to over 250FSB
however I changed back to normal settings because I wasn't playing games
anymore (dont ask)

What is the normal clock frequency on an AMD 2200+?  (Windows info shows 1.5
Ghz is that normal?)  I put in a 2100+ and the clock automatically reduced
to 1.2 GHz.  The  mother board is set to auto, and is a K7 Triton KT600 MB.

I have two indentical setups, Abit AN7 and 2400+ T-bred.
On the first one I unlocked the cpu using this mod:

And it worked perfectly (its now working at 10 x 220mhz stable).
