I have a question about the line of true 64 bit processors.  When they
are running 32 bit software,  do they take the instructions, data,
etc.  2  blocks at a time or is there half of the cpu that is not
being used??  Where this is leading,  is to the question is it better

Will the new range of nForce4 mobo's have pci lock and be overclockable?
Also, I know socket 939 will be supported but was wondering whether a 940
will be produced.
I am building a rig at the moment and am considering an FX55 or 4000 cpu -

Anyone know what an socket 754 A64 3100+ clawhammer would be worth?
It is clocked at the same speed as an A64 2800+ but has 1mb of L2
cache.
I'm thinking about selling my socket 754 and getting a socket 939.

Knowing that AMD XP series are on the way to be discontinued,
what should be my best choice to replace my XP2400+ ?

right now.  I'm wanting to get some new RAM for a new rig.
Okay so I've got a NF7-S 2.0 with a 2200+ XP-M and I'm planning on doing
200, maybe 215FSB with it.  Newegg has (1) Corsair Value Select 256MB 3200

I recently put together an upgrade system from parts which came partly
from ebay. I got a MSI K8T Neo-2F and Athlon 64 - 3000+ from mwave
new, and paired that with a 1GB stick of generic used ram from ebay.
It appears likely the ram has a small problem.

I hope someone can help me.  I have an unknown Athlon CPU that won't boot in
my system.  There are no ID markings on it, so I'm hoping you can identify
it from the following picture:

Currently I'm running an unlocked 2500 on an NF7-S v.2 at 3200+ speed at
1.825v.  I'd like to try an XP-M 2400 or 2500 to try an squeeze a couple
hundred or so Mhz out of it.  I'm using Hyperx PC3200 and an SLK900a
HS/92mm Panaflo combo.  Which processor should I be looking at - ...

for the life of me i cannot get a driver to work for the for the VT6103
on-board lan interface for my Biostar M7VIT Pro VIA KT400 w/ XP.  I have
tried every VIA incarnation of driver.... anyone have / had this problem?

Is it possible to tell for how long the XP-M's are going to be unlocked?
Why is it only 2400+ and 2600+ that are unlocked?

I just upgraded my son's machine to a P-4, 3.0 Gig, 775 Prescott with 1 mg.
cache, but could have gotten a 3.2 Gig older style chip with only 512 L-2
cache. Is that the Northwood? Anywhooo .. does the extra cache and newer
design make up for or exceed the .2 Gig of speed that is ...
