I'd like to post a query to the relavent groups regarding the setup and
install of an OS to an HP zx2000 Itanium based workstation.
I have acquired on of these units without the HDD and installed a SCSI hdd
on the bus. Problems are twofold seemingly.

A firend has a HP PSC 1410 printer.  SHe just changed the ink
cartridges in it (both).  Now, if she turns it off and then back on, it
instantly prints out a test sheet everytime, even with the pc off.  It
prints fine after that, but it is wasting all of the ink.  Any ideas?

By any chance, does anyone here know about any good, reliable car adapters
that would work with a power-hungry HP Pavilion zd8000 laptop?  I'd love to
be able to use it in the car on long trips to allow my kids to watch DVDs,
but the current battery capacity just doesn't cut it.

It's a 40Gb drive to replace the old 30Gb one.
First off, I just put the drive in and put the XP installation disc in
