I've always been used to setting up one primary partition on a HDD and then an
extended partition that a logical or two can be built on.  But the on-the-fly
partition tools in Win 7 Beta I installed on a spare box sets up all primaries.
Which system is better or does it even matter? ...

I just got a bare bones system for Xmas with a Biostar MCP6P-M2 Socket
AM2 motherboard, 4800 AMD CPU, 250 gig HD, 2 gigs of RAM etc.
I put it together BUT I cannot get the monitor to connect (stop
blinking) and it does not BEEP or POST on BOOT.  What happens is this:

Only because it is relatively slow now, I want to replace a slick 2" x
